Luanda, 09/21 (Angop) - The Minister of Urbanisation and Environment, Diekumpuna Sita José, announced Saturday in Luanda, the creation of a competition called "Minua Universities 2008 Award" in matters of urbanism and architecture.

The minister who was speaking to press said that the prize aims at supporting the academic works and publicly recognizing the works developed in the Angolan universities and faculties.

In the ambit of competition, he refereed that there will be prizes in categories of urban planning, housing and social services.

For this effect, the ministry invited departments of Architecture of Agostinho Neto University (UAN), Angola Private University (UPA), Lusiada University (ULA), Independent University (UNIA), Methodist University (UMA) and the Technical University of Angola (UTANGA).

The winners of seven categories will be awarded on 06 October. ANGOP
