Luanda, - Angola will host the main celebration of the World Habitat Day, October 6, in response to the UN Programme on Human Settlements (UN-Habitat).
According to a note from the Ministry of Urbanisation and Environment, the celebration of the date is intended to elevate the consciousness on the state of the cities and basic rights, an appropriate housing for all and remember the world about the collective responsibility for human settlement.
The topic for this year, reads the note, focuses on harmonious cities, economy, environment and social harmony among the cities.
With a view to a reflection on the issue, the Ministry of Urbanisation and Environment will give a press conference on its premises on September 20 this year. ANGOP
