Diplomat wants to attract investors to Angola - Brazzaville,  Brazzaville – The Angolan ambassador to Congo, Pedro Fernando Mavunza said on Thursday in Brazzaville city, that the country is still open to foreign investors, so as to stimulate the socio-economic changes in Angola. The diplomat said so while addressing the gala held at his official residence, in the ambit of the festivities of the national independence 35th anniversary, marked on Thursday November 11. According to him, peace, macro-economic stability, good governance and the favourable business environment have been attracting significant private investments. Regarding the national Independence Day, Pedro Mavunza recalled that independence was the glory of long years of struggle and sacrifice of our people who fought with bravery against the Portuguese colonial regime. Speaking about the relations between Angola and Congo, Pedro Mavunza considered them as good on account of the geo-strategic position of both countries. The event was attended by the Congolese ministers of agriculture and culture, Rigobert Maboundou and Jean-Claude Gakosso, respectively. The gala was also attended by diplomats and other personalities. The gala was enlivened by the local singer Kimbolo.
