Youths urged to join voter registration

Angola,  Lobito – The Municipal Council of Youth of Lobito, central Benguela province, Friday here launched a mobilisation and awareness raising campaign on the importance of the youth to join the ongoing voter registration process. Speaking to Angop, the executive secretary of the Lobito Municipal Council of Youth, António Lazaro Kamenhe, said the campaign will go until April 15, in schools, churches, markets and other places of public concentration.He said the purpose of the campaign is to inform the youth on the importance of their participation in the coming elections set for this year in Angola. According to him, the consolidation of peace and institutions is of the interests of the youths as the future leaders of the nation expected more and more prosperous. He said the participation of the youths in the coming elections will be decisive for the consolidation of democracy.The Municipal Council of Youth is a non-political institution designed to help address the problems facing the youth.
