Women entrepreneurs told to build capacity
Luanda, Luanda – The minister of Family and Women Promotion, Genoveva da Conceição Lino, Thursday in Luanda appealed to the women entrepreneurs to build up their capacities and skills in order to ensure the upkeeping of Angolan families and development of the country. Genoveva Lino was speaking at the opening of the International Forum on Women’s Development Effort. According to the official, the theme chosen by the International Organisation of Women Entrepreneurs (CODAF) is suggesting and the event will serve for an exchange of experience among enterprises, in view of the challenges of the business world. She added that the event will enable a discussion of matters linked to entrepreneurship and women in general. Minister Genoveva Lino also appealed to the Angolan diplomatic mission abroad to continue informing about the situation in Angola at all levels. The official also stated that such events are intended to improve skills of women so they can better meet the challenges facing them. In her turn, CODAF chairwoman, Marie Afoua, said African women are undertaking and her institution will reinforce their capacity to handle their businesses.She announced that 40 women will attend a training in Spain next year.
