US assistant secretary works in Cabinda
Cabinda, Cabinda - The US Assistance Secretary for Policy and International Affairs at the Energy Department, David B. Sandalow, is paying on Monday a few-hour working visit to the northern Cabinda province. At his arrival, the US official met in an audience the acting governor, Aldina Matilde da Lomba, at the local government palace. According to a press release from the US Embassy, which reached Angop, David B. Sandalow’s visit is part of a strategic dialogue on energy issues between the Angolan government and his country. During his stay in Cabinda, the US official is expected to visit community projects financed by Chevron, such as blood bank of Cabinda provincial Hospital and HIV/Aids counselling centre, as well as the oil field Malongo. David Sandalow, who is being accompanied by the US ambassador to Angola, Christopher Macmullen, will return on Monday to Luanda.
