UNITA president happy with visits in US, Ireland and UK

Angola, Luanda – The president of the opposition party of UNITA, Isaías Samakuva, expressed this Friday his satisfaction at the visited he paid to the US, Ireland and UK (England), having into account the goals achieved in the mission held from 20 April to 4 May. The politician said so during his arrival at Luanda’s “4 de Fevereiro” International Airport, where he was received by various militants and officials of his party. Speaking to Angop, Isaías Samakuva said that he was very happy with the activities carried out in the three countries because the results are extremely positive and the visit enabled him to present UNITA position in the national and international political context. According to the politician, in US he had the opportunity to meet with officials of American executive, namely the US assistant secretary of state for African affairs and White House, with whom he analysed the political, economic and social situation of Angola. In Ireland, the president of UNITA met with local businesspeople and officials of the Irish ministry of cooperation, to whom he called for the reinforcement of relations in order to promote and boost the bilateral cooperation between Angola and Ireland in various domains. In UK, Isaías Samakuva met politicians and officials of the local government, with whom he discussed the Angolan and world political situation at the moment, as well as he presented goals of his party in the national political framework.
