Talk on Portuguese language continues

Luanda, Luanda – The talk on Portuguese in international organisations, which has been taking place since Tuesday in Luanda, to analyse the spread of this language, will continue this Wednesday. At the opening ceremony, the state secretary for Foreign Affairs for administrative issues, Rui Mangueira, said that the consolidation of the international presence of the Portuguese language has been contributing to its growing affirmation in the world. He highlighted the fact that the member states of the Portuguese Speaking Countries Community (CPLP) have been assuming an active participation in various international organisations, in humanitarian operations and in peace-keeping operations in general. The gathering is debating issues such as "Languages in the UN, History, legislation, practices and perspectives”, "Portuguese in regional economic organisations" and “Pluri-linguistic organisations and relations with other languages".
