South African defence forces chief arrives in Luanda

Luanda, Luanda – The South African chief of defence forces, general S. Z. Shalke, arrived on Tuesday in Luanda to attend the opening meeting of Angola-South Africa defence bilateral committee going from 12 to 15 June.. At his arrival at "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport, the South African high-ranking official, at the head of his country's delegation, was received  by general Peregrino Huambo, adviser to the chief of general staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA). Angop learnt that during his four-day stay in Angola, the head of delegation will present courtesy greetings to the minister of National Defence, Cândido Pereira Van-Dunem, and meet the Angolan Army Chief, general Sachipengo Nunda.  Besides Angola-South Africa defence bilateral meeting to last two days, the delegation will visit the National Air Force. The delegation is expected to return to South Africa on Friday.
