Sabão ward's choir group wins IECA children's song festival
Huambo, Huambo – The choir group of Sabão ward’s pastorate, in the outskirts of Huambo city, on Saturday won the children’s song festival promoted by the Congregational Evangelic Church in Angola (IECA). Attended by 12 contestants, Sabão ward’s choir group won the title with the song entitled “Devotion to God”. With this victory, the group received an electric guitar and the chance to record two gospel tracks, as prizes. The second and third positions were occupied by the children’s choir group of the pastorate of Batel Calobringo and of Académico, having received acoustic electrical guitars, each, as well as undisclosed monetary values. At the occasion, the co-ordinator of the event, Hermenegildo Sawambo, informed that the children’s song festival aimed at praising the name of God, as well as awakening and encouraging children to love music.
