Regional director at WHO meeting in Switzerland

Angola,  Luanda - The regional director for Africa of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Luis Sambo, and his staff attends the 130th session of the Executive Council of this United Nations agency, held in Geneva (Switzerland) from January 16 to 23 in progress.According to the press release from the regional office of WHO for Africa, the region is represented on the executive council of experts from Burundi, Cameroon, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal and Sierra Leone. Representatives of several countries are reviewing and discussing issues concerning the reform of the WHO, the prevention and control of non-transmitted diseases, the global burden of mental disorders.The maternal nutrition of infant and young child, poliomyelitis, intensified global eradication initiative are among other issues in the agenda.
