Rastas pay tribute to Haile Selassei, African women

Angola, Luanda - The Angolan Association of Friends of Reggae (Nara) will perform on 21 July at Elinga Theatre, in Luanda, a night show of reggae, in honour to the birth of Haile Selassei (the emperor of Ethiopia in 1930). According to a source close to the association, the night will be dubbed King Selassie sound system and will include the participation of DJs Afrika Luna and Mahinga, with the support by Kenyan Ras Sassa. The show will be held in allusion to the date of birth of Haile Selassie (July 23) and the African Women's Day (July 31). The event will further exhibit and sell handmade products made by the members of the Rasta community.  Nara resumes its cultural activities after the completion on 2 and 4 February of the two shows with French-nationalised Kenyan reggae singer, Ras Naya, two year after bringing the French band City Kay.
