President's commitment to urbanisation of Roque Santeiro highlighted

Luanda,  Luanda - The personal engagement of the Angolan head of State José Eduardo dos Santos in urban development in the space where operated the ex-unofficial market "Roque Santeiro" and the protection of hillside of Boavista and Miramar was stressed Friday in Luanda by Urbanisation and Construction minister, Fernando Fonseca. Fernando Fonseca expressed the recognition during his speech delivered at the ceremony for laying the first cornerstone of the executive’s project of infrastructures at the zone of former Roque Santeiro market and the stabilisation of hillsides of Boavista and Miramar, under guidance of the Angolan head of State. According to the official, this marks the kick off of the inclusive re-arrangement of Sambizanga and the full accomplishment of traditional and historic wills of the local community. The official stressed that the referred project is embodied in steering plan of rearrangement of the central programme of Luanda, which covers the districts of Cazenga, Viana and soon to Rangel, whose studies are in advanced phase. He appealed to all participants in the works for a greater commitment and fulfilment of deadlines contained in contracts.
