Parliamentary Inquiry Commission works in Ekunha district
Angola, Huambo – The Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) is working on Wednesday in Ekunha district, central Huambo province, in the ambit of the framework of the second stage to investigate alleged cases of political intolerance and violation of human rights in the region, claimed by the MPs of the opposition UNITA party. In Ekunha district, the commission, led by the MP Hígino Carneiro, will hear the representatives of the local civil society on the alleged cases of political intolerance. On Tuesday, the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission, which is comprised by MPs of MPLA, UNITA, PRS and FNLA, worked in the districts of Tchindjendje and Longonjo. In the first phase, held on 5-12 last May, CPI carried out hearing sessions to officials of political parties and representatives of the local civil society on alleged cases of political intolerance in the districts of Bailundo, Tchicala-Tcholohanga, Caála and Ukuma.
