Pacification of Cabinda among FAA Staff goals for 2012
Angola, Luanda – The Chief of Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) general Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda, announced Monday in Luanda that one of the objectives determined by the commander in chief, José Eduardo dos Santos, for 2012 is the pacification of the northern Cabinda province. The general Geraldo Nunda announced this fact at the year-end greeting ceremony.According to the FAA general, the goals also include the improvement of the living and working conditions of the soldiers, barracks, hospitals, education centres, military schools and prison facilities. Ensuring the full stability countrywide, with a view to secure successful election in 2012, is also part of the general staff objective.The chief of FAA also spoke of the country’s mission of cooperation with the Guinea Bissau and implementing directive of the President and Commander in Chief, José Eduardo dos Santos.In his view, to achieve these goals the leaders are required to be aware of the events enabling the speeding up of the rebuilding process as well as agree to take their decisions.
