New CNE chairman sworn in Tuesday

Angola, Luanda - (An – The new chairman of the National Electoral Commission (CNE), André da Silva Neto, is being sworn in on Tuesday in Luanda, during the 10th Plenary Session of the 4th Legislating Session of the 2nd Legislative Period, Angop learned. The information is contained in a press release that says the MPs will also review and vote the draft resolution that approves the list of members for Kambambe Municipal Electoral Commission, northern Kwanza Norte prvince, nominated by the opposition UNITA party.   The session will also review and pass the draft resolution on the substitution of members of Ambaka and Bolongongo Municipal Electoral Commissions, Kwanza Norte province, members of the municipalities of Camanongue (eastern Moxico province), Chitembo, Chinguar and Nharea (central Bie province), nominated by opposition UNITA party.  At its latest plenary session, on May 22 this year, the MPs analysed the nomination of the Constitutional Court counselling judge, Maria Terezinha, the draft resolution that clarifies doubts and omissions resulting from the interpretation and application of the Organic Law on General Elections and other laws.
