National reflection week on violence against children opened

Angola, Ndalatando – The national reflection week on the violence against children, which precedes the children activities set for 1-6 June, was opened on Saturday by the director of the National Children Institute (INAC), Ruth Madalena Mixinge in Ndalatando city in the northern Kwanza Norte province.The official said that the nationwide activity aim to analyse the practice which harms children development, social harmony and good socialisation between children and parents.She stressed that the violence against many children cause them physical, emotional and psychological damages, thus deprive the children to develop all their abilities and aptitudes.Ruth Magdalene Mixinge called for all citizens to commit themselves to fighting all forms of  violence against children, change attitudes and behaviour of society in face of this evil.The director said that the Constitution of the Republic of Angola establishes in Article 35, paragraph 6, the protection of children's rights, including their harmonious and integrated  education, the protection of their health, living conditions and education.
