MPLA President in Saurimo city

Lunda Sul ,  Saurimo – The President of the ruling MPLA party, José Eduardo dos Santos, arrived this Thursday morning in Saurimo city, eastern Lunda Sul province, where he is presiding over a rally, under the electoral campaign of his party, for the elections set for August 31.  Under the electoral campaign that was opened on July 31 with a rally in Viana district (Luanda), this is the first trip of the MPLA president inland the country. At local airport, the MPLA leader was received by music and traditional dance, thousands of militants, supporters and friends of this party. During His stay in the province, José Eduardo dos Santos will also unveil several socio-economic undertakings. MPLA leader is expected to meet chieftains, representatives of civil society and clerics.  José Eduardo dos Santos is also going to offer some goods to traditional authorities. President José Eduardo dos Santos is returning to Luanda this afternoon.
