Ministry's priority to individual sports

Angola, Luanda - The Ministry of Youth and Sports will give priority to the individual sports, apart from the creation of sports and communitarian centres, said the incumbent minister, Gonçalves Muandumba. The Cabinet minister was speaking during an interview with National Radio Station (RNA)'s "Radio 5" sports channel. Gonçalves Muandumba has confirmed that a team of technicians from the sector will travel in June to Cuba, under the protocol between the two countries to seize the potential in the field of education and training. ANGOP learned that the objective is to obtain knowledge about the organisational and sport system, the development model used by that country in Central America, whose experience may prove very useful for Angola. The decision of individual sports emerged from the 2nd Supreme Council for Sports held in  May 2009 in central Huambo province. During the event the participants reached the conclusion that through this kind of sport the country can easily win medal in international competitions.
