Minister expects greater dynamism of CIAM

Angola, Luanda - Angolan Mass Media minister, Carolina Cerqueira, said Monday in Luanda to expect greater dynamism in the "Anibal de Melo" Press Centre (CIAM) with regard its tasks. Carolina Cerqueira expressed the hope on the sidelines of the swearing in ceremony of Antonio Rodrigues Mascarenha, the new director of the Press Center. The official underlined that the materialisation of this goal requires more dedication, diligence and compliance with the established programme. The Cabinet minister added that at this time, ahead of the general elections, the centre should be an important tool in monitoring all activities being carried out by foreign and national journalists and promote the country's image abroad. The programme for restructuring of the organ provides for staff training, profitability and development initiatives of CIAM, in order to raise funds to guide other activities. The sworn in official pledged to dignify both the Media ministry and the country. He stressed that he will fulfil all guidance and cooperate with his co-workers toward the enhancing of the centre.
