Mateus Galiano joins national team for Zambia match

Angola, Luanda – Angola’s Portugal-based football striker Djalma Campos arrived Monday in Luanda and to join the national team, while Mateus Galiano is expected Tuesday in the capital with the same purpose, Angop learned.This is contrary to initial information that all those based overseas were joining the national team in Portugal next week.The information was released to Angop by the press officer of the Angola Football Federation (FAF), Inácio Olím.The official explained that not all players can be available to join the national team in the game against Zambia on Wednesday in Luanda, as some are still serving their engaged clubs overseas. Therefore, the source added, Djalma Campos and Mateus Galiano will be the only players based overseas to appear in the Wednesday game against Zambia at Luanda’s “11 de Novembro” stadium.Manucho Gonçalves (Spain), Nando Rafael (Germany), Zuela (Greece), Kivuvu (Switzerland) will be joining the national team in Portugal. Bastos, Jotabé, Miguel, Mano, Job and Kembwa (Petro de Luanda), Neblu, Dany Massunguna, Amaro, Manucho and Mingo Bille (1º de Agosto), Edson (Recreativo da Caála), Manuel and Ady (ASA) Landu, Adawa, Carlitos, Mussumary and Aguinaldo (Recreativo do Libolo), Lunguinha (Kabuscorp do Palanca), Fissy (Interclube), Yano and Isaac (Progresso do Sambizanga) are the home-based players summoned by national coach, Romeu Filemon. The national team will be travelling to Portugal on May 23 to face Macedónia and Cape Verde in friendly matches. This is after a game against a team of foreigners playing in the local championship, Girabola.
