Macau sets up secretariat to strengthen Angola/China relations
Angola, Luanda - The Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, Macau, established a permanent secretariat for the boosting of economic and trading cooperation between Angola and China, serving equally as a platform linking the two countries. The statement belongs to the deputy secretary general of the Forum for Economic and Trade cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, Rita Santos, who told the press on Friday, at the end of a meeting of the acting speaker of the National Assembly, Joao Lourenço, with president of the Chinese People's Political Conference, Edmund Ho Hau Wah. According to the official, Macau has also good relations with Angola in various fields, and through this secretariat, the region will provide a platform of economic, cultural and commercial link for closer relations of friendship. She noted however, that Angola is a country that is making strides toward its development and taking into account the existing opportunities, Macau wants to strengthen ties of cooperation in various fields.
