Kwanza Sul governor appeals to citizens to join voter registration
Angola, Sumbe – The governor of central Kwanza Sul province, Serafim Maria do Prado, Thursday in Sumbe, encouraged citizens to join the voter registration update process starting Friday, July 29, around the country. Serafim do Prado was speaking at the 2nd ordinary session of the provincial Government.He said all citizens aged 18 years and above must register and thus choose the polling stations for the 2012 general elections. In his turn, speaking to journalists, the provincial director of registration, Evaristo Lemos, said all has been put in place for the start of the process. According to Evaristo Lemos, a total of 85 activists grouped in 17 brigades will be involved in the registration process. The process will first start in the districts of Sumbe, Amboim and Cela, to register more than 500,000 voters.
