Kuando Kubango gets 121 new schools
Menongue, Menongue – At least 121 schools will be built in next academic year, being 111 for primary and 10 high education, in south-eastern Kuando Kubango province. The information was released Wednesday by the Angolan Planning minister Ana Dias Lourenço in Menongue city. According to the minister Ana Dias Lourenço, the move is a strategy to increase the low rate of primary and secondary schools reported in the region. The Angolan government outlined the emergent programme to expand the number of vacancies in public school. Kuando Kubango has a total of 5, 209 teachers and awaits to integrate additional 1,680 new teachers as from October, of whom 1000 for primary education.
