Justice Ministry considers expansion of one-stop shops
Angola, Luanda –The Ministry of Justice, under its process of modernisation and computerisation of the registry, notary offices and single windows, is faced with a work of enormous impact on the life of the citizens, companies and institutions at large.This was said Tuesday in Luanda by the Justice minister, Guilhermina Prata, at the opening of the seminar on “Land Register and Notary Office” going until Wednesday.According to the minister, these projects already underway are strongly linked to the reality of the sector of Justice in Angola and their implementation will represent a progress toward justice at large, particularly in the domain of Land Registry and Notary Offices.The minister said as well that the projects that contributed to the efficient modernisation associated with the country’s social and economic reality have led to the organisation, modernisation and restructuring of the services of the system of public registry, particularly of the Land Registry, including the training of staff.She said the projects will also help extend the Civil Registry services to all provinces and localities and secure the country’s territorial coverage, thus guaranteeing the intensive utilisation of the Information and Communication Technologies in the process.Guilhermina Prata stated that under the Justice Steering Plan (PDJ) 2010-2025, currently in its completion stage, the Ministry is considering to implement a number of projects and measures, with stress to the utilisation of the Information and Communication Technologies in the Land Registry and Notary Office .
