Justice minister announces court secretary
Angola, Baía Farta – The Angolan Justice minister, Guilhermina Prata, Friday in Baía Farta, central Benguela province, announced the creation of the figure of court secretary, seeking a speedier handling of administrative and financial matters. The minister said that currently the administrative and financial matters are dealt with by the presiding judges, which affects the correct functioning of affairs. Guilhermina Prata said her department is working on a juridical norm to introduce the figure of secretary as the constitution provides for courts’ financial autonomy. According to the official, the department is modernising its services through the installation of computers and repair of infrastructures around the country. The minister also spoke of the need for more personnel at local level to respond to the concerns of the citizens.Guilhermina Prata that is since Friday in Benguela visited the Ganda court and Cubal’s administration palace on Saturday.
