ITEL, Huawei company sign cooperation agreement
Luanda, Luanda – The National Institute of Telecommunications and the Chinese Huawei company signed in Luanda, a cooperation accord for the training of Angolans in the field of telecommunications. The agreement aims to training national technicians in the telecommunications sector and information technology. During the ceremony, the Chinese company donated a training centre for Angolan professionals, estimated at USD seven million. Speaking to press after the signing of cooperation agreement between the two companies, the general director of the National Institute of Telecommunications, Américo dos Santos, said that with the appearance of the training centre, the country will save money by avoiding sending technicians to China or another country. He said the training centre with high technology will allow ITEL to train its staff related to the telecommunications sector.
