Huíla hosts IV Portuguese/Angola symposium on infectious diseases
Angola, Luanda – The southern Huíla Province will host from October 29 to December 03, the IV Portuguese/Angolan Symposium on infectious diseases and the 6th paediatric gatherings that aim, among other objectives, at discussing susceptible strategies for reducing infant mortality and impact of basic health structures in reducing mortality.According to a statement of Huíla Province government, which ANGOP had access to, the symposium discusses also the importance of policies of control of infectious diseases and integration of aspects for promoting health in school curriculum.The programme reserves also a conference on chronic diseases, control of infectious diseases in Angola, updating of information on tuberculosis and HIV/Aids vertical transmission cut, among others.The first symposium happened in 2005, second in 2007 and third in 2009.
