Handball team to train in Portugal for continental challenge

Angola,  Luanda – The senior males handball team will carry out a training programme in Leiria, Portugal, from 27 December this year to 10 January 2012, ahead of their participation in the African Championship, set for the first month of next year in Rabat, Morocco.The Angolan team will play seven control games with Portuguese teams, with highlight on Benfica and FC do Porto, as revealed by the coach, Felipe Cruz, who presented the training programme in Luanda.The squad will start the training programme next Monday, with two sessions per day. In the African Championship, scheduled for 10 to 21 January, Angola is in group B with Egypt, Algeria, Cameroon and Nigeria.In the last continental cup the Angolan team finished the competition in the fifth place.
