Governor praises electoral legal education

Angola, Ondjiva - The governor of southern Cunene province, António Didalelwa, Thursday in Ondjiva, praised the legal education before the election as it will raise civic and moral awareness of the voters, to prevent acts of incitement during the election. The governor was speaking at the opening of the cycle of lectures on electoral legal education promoted by Attorney General's Office in Cunene, aimed at raising awareness of voters through disclosure and discussion of the electoral law. The lectures also serve to mobilize voters to attend the polls. Antonio Didalelwa warned that it is necessary to raise the legal awareness of citizens in order to respect the law and maintain peace and national reconciliation. In turn, the provincial attorney, Filomeno dos Santos, said the activity aims to provide institutional support to bodies involved in organizing and holding of general elections, such as the National Electoral Commission and political parties."With this campaign the Attorney General's Office seeks to present the rules that govern the electoral law, to avoid from being violated before, during and after the elections," he warned.
