Four SADC presidents leave

Angola, Luanda – Four Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) heads of State that attended the Extraordinary Summit of the regional organisations presidents held in Luanda from May 31 to June left Friday for their countries.The presidents of Botswana, Ian Khama,  Namibia, Lucas Pohamba,  Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, and South Africa, Jacob Zuma, returned to their countries after attending the two-day meeting of the regional organisations heads of State and Government.During the event, attended by 14 of SADCs 15 member countries, with exception for Madagascar, discussed sucha matters as the functioning of the organisation, the political situation in the region, the process of regional integration and the position to be adopted by the community at the next African Union Summit. SADC groups Angola, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mauritius, Malaw, Swaziland, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Madagascar and Mozambique.  Madagascar  has been suspended from the regional organisation on account of a coup dEtat that disrupted Constitutional order there.
