Executive consolidates reforms

Angola,  Luanda – The Angolan Executive has been consolidating the various reforms that it started in 1991, which cover most of the sectors in the Angolan society.This was said by the secretary of State for Human Rights,  António Bento Bembe, at a press conference held in Luanda, which served to assess the state of his sector in Angola.According to the government official, thanks to these economic, social and political reforms, Angola has been adopting policies and measures to promote sustainable development, aimed at improving the distribution of the country’s wealth, people’s living standards and spiritual satisfaction.“In order to respond to the imperative of the concept of liberty, it has been reaffirmed the commitment of Angola to the values and basic principles of unity of the state and rule of law, pluralism of expression and political organisations”, explained the government official.Bento Bembe went on saying that these premises also include the separation and balance of powers, market economy system and respect for people’s rights.He assured that these premises are the pillars that sustain the Constitution of Angola.The secretary of State for Human Rights also explained that these principles have gained more clarity with the conquest of definitive peace on 04 April 2002, strengthened in 2006 with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cabinda Province.
