Country's vice president at CPLP summit
Angola, Maputo – The Angolan Vice President, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, is participating this Friday in the 9th Portuguese Speaking Countries Community (CPLP) Summit, here, in Maputo, Mozambique, in representation of the Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.The summit will analyse recommendations produced by the 17th meeting of the Community’s Council of Ministers, with stress on the reports of the acting presidency and the executive secretary.In an interview to the press, Fernando da Piedade dias dos Santos said he also has given the reasons for the absence of the Head of State, embodied in the fact that, currently, it is being held in Angola the pre-campaign for the general elections. Angola will hold general elections on 31 August.
