Council of Ministers approves Presidential Decrees on celebration of events
Angola, Luanda – The Council of Minister Wednesday in Luanda approved a Presidential Decree that assigns powers to State organs of central and local administration in the preparation of resources required for celebration of various events. The decision that followed the 5th ordinary session of the Cabinet Council as a head of State consultation organ, aims at improving the preparation, organisation and mobilisation of resources required for the celebration of various local and international events recognised by the Angolan State. The Wednesday’s session of the Council of Minister chaired by the head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, was informed about the final report on the update of the voter’s registration that went from July 29, 2011 to April 15, 2012 and about the report from the National Commission on Fight against Poverty. The session also learned of the Memorandum of Understanding between Angola Cables S.A and the Brazilian Telecommunications S.A for a fibre optic connection between the two countries. The Cabinet Council hailed the celebration of the June 1 (International Children’s Day), underlining the importance of a continued support for children, with a view to their full education and healthy growth and sustainable development, prosperity of the country and people’s wellbeing.
