CNE approves training for polling stations officials

Angola, Luanda  – The National Electoral Commission (CNE) Monday in Luanda approved the plan of training of polling stations officials that will be run by about 20 trainers during their 6th extraordinary session that will be chaired by the organ’s chairman, André Silva Neto. Speaking to the press at the end of the meeting, the CNE spokesperson, Júlia Ferreira, said the training plan will start on July 10, reaching the national, provincial and municipal levels. The session also approved the regulation for the draw that will dictate the allocation of airtime for the election candidates on the State-run “Rádio Nacional de Angola” (RNA) and Television (TPA).The CNE spokesperson stressed that under the said regulation, a draw will be held for the order of allocation of airtime to the contesting parties and candidates. On the other hand, Júlia Ferreira said that the meeting also approved the polling stations officials’ trainers manual that contains the didactic and pedagogic norms that will serve as reference and guidelines for the trainers.The training of trainers of polling stations officials will go until July 13, at a ceremony that will be chaired by the CNE chief, André da Silva Neto.
