Citizens continue to hand over weapons to police
Ondjiva , Ondjiva - Eleven weapons were handed over by the population to the National Police of Angola (PNA) in ondjiva city, southern Cunene province, under the disarmament programme being carried out by the Angolan government. This was said to Angop on Monday by the spokesman of the corporation in Cunene, intendent Pombal Piedade. According to him, the hand over of the referred armed fire will contribute to a better security and stability within the community. He said that awareness campaigns have been carried out so as to sensitize the population on the voluntary hand over of weapon illegally owned by the citizens.
