Candidates for Miss Benguela beauty crown selected

Benguela, Benguela - Twenty candidates for the Miss Benguela beauty pageant’s crown, to be held next August in this city, were on Friday selected during a casting carried out  by the event’s organising committee. The selection, which began on April 24, counted on the participation of 25 candidates from the 10 districts of the southern Benguela province. Speaking to ANGOP, the acting chairperson of the Miss Benguela Committee, Núria da Cruz  Neto, said that the 20 candidates have ages ranging from 18 to 25 years. She added that the candidates will undergo a three-week training to improve aspects relating to human relationships, etiquettes, walking with high heels, gymnasium, as well as learning how  to deal with the beauty crown. Núria da Cruz Neto added that this year’s pageant will be held under the motto "a dream, a crown and a title." Cesaltina Gonçalves holds the Miss Benguela crown.
