Bie provincial hospital assists Over 500 patients

Bie, Kuito - At least 527 patients suffering from different diseases were treated in the last 72 hours, in the first aid ward of central Bie province hospital. Speaking to ANGOP, the head of the section, Emilia Paula Satunga, explained that of the above cases, 327 suffer from medicine problems, 120 with surgery needs, 71 road accidents, while 55 suffered animal bites. Of the patients assisted, according to sources, 87 were admitted in the hospital, while the others were discharged for light complications. She added that in the same period, four people died  of malaria, anaemia and injuries caused by sharp weapon. Emilia Paula Satunga also said that patients with animal bites had been vaccinated against tetanus and anti-rabies.
