Bengo governor assesses execution of works

Bengo, Caxito - The provincial governor of Bengo, João Bernardo de Miranda, moves Wednesday to Ucua commune, municipality of Dande, to evaluate the execution of social projects in the area.Communiqué issued by the Documentation and Information Centre (CDI) of local government delivered to ANGOP states that the minister will visit the medical centre of Katuta and school No. 345, both in rehabilitation works part of the municipal integrated rural development programme to combat hunger and poverty.In his first working visit to the municipality of Ucua as provincial governor, Joao Miranda will meet with the communal administrator, Maria da Conceição de Carvalho Francisco, and traditional authorities to listen to their concerns and to give necessary guidelines to solve the problems of the population.During her stay in town, the governor João Miranda will hand out various products to the local population. Last June, Joao Miranda moved with the same purpose, to the Municipality of Kicabo, under his program of verification visits to the communes of the province.The commune of Ucua, which is 61 kilometres off the city of Caxito, has an estimated population of about 10,000 inhabitants, where most of them are engaged in subsistence farming and trading.
