Belas district residents called to participate in management

Angola,  Luanda – The deputy governor of Luanda province for Administrative Organisation and Modernisation, Graciano Domingos, considered fundamental the participation of Belas district residents in the solution of local problems.The official was speaking Thursday at the ceremony of presentation of Belas district administrator, Joana António Quintas.He said the resolution to the problems concerning the district requires an institutional coordination by the authorities, in cooperation with the assemblies of condominiums, dwellers commissions and traditional authorities.Graciano Domingos mentioned the valorisation of the District Council of Social Hearing and Concert as an organ of democratic consultation for the resolution of problems in the communities.He said that only with the participation of the members of the communities could a better living be attained and the problems of the capital addressed.The ceremony of presentation of Belas dministrator was attended by representatives of churches, traditional authorities and political parties and other guests.Joana Quintas had been appointed in November 2011, as part of the new Luanda administrative division that revoked the districts of Maianga, Ingombota, Rangel, Sambizanga and Samba and created the municipality of Luanda.Seven municipalities comprise the capital of Angola. They are Luanda, Cazenga,Cacuaco, Icolo e Bengo, Viana, Belas and Kissama.
