Athletics Federation has projects for Rio de Janeiro 2016 - Official

Angola ,  London – Training of long distance runners locally and abroad are some of the investment the Angolan Athletics Federation (FAA) will be making to improve the country’s performance at the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro in 2016.This was said Thursday in London by FAA chairman, Carlos Rosa. Speaking to Angop, Carlos Rosa said this investment that has been prepared by Angola started this year with the sending of two athletes, Felismina Cavela and Manuel António to Brazil, on a four-year grant.The official who would not mention names, said another four are in Aveiro (Portugal), while others went to Ethiopia with the same purpose. He also announced that another two athletes will be joining those in Brazil.Carlos Rosa also spoke of the need for continued research, training of trainers and athletes so that good results are obtained in a near future. The sport official also mentioned the importance of investment if good results are to be attained.
