Armed Forces Staff Chief assures better condition for forces

Ondjiva, Ondjiva - The chief of General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda Friday in southern Cunene province pledged to improve conditions for soldiers, related to the accommodation and health care assistance. Speaking to the press at the end of his two-day visit to the region, FAA high ranking officer said it is urgent to improve the conditions of the forces in search for dignity of those tasked with securing the defence and integrity of national territory. "I could see the current conditions on site. There is a need for more support, apart from the efforts that have been made for the welfare of FAA members," he stated.  Under Friday agenda, the chief of Staff visited military battalion based in Mukubuayne, outskirts of Ondjiva city, where he assessed the ongoing works and the current condition of  the forces. Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda also met behind close door with the local organs of defence and security.
