Angolans optimistic about doing well in Austria
Angola, Luanda - Angola's national senior women handball team left Tuesday for Vienna, Austria, to participate in the international tournament with teams of Japan, Czech Repulic, South Korea and the host from Mary 16-28, as part of their preparation for the Olympic Games of London in 2012. Speaking to the press at Luanda's "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport, the assistant coach, Edgar Neto, expressed optimism about the good performance of the athletes, regardless of the level of their opponents. "Our goal is to improve the performance at the Olympics, then it is necessary a very careful preparation in all directions," he added. On the other hand, the assistant coach regretted the fact that the players Odeth Tavares, Nair Almeida and Maria Pedro, Edgar Neto are left out due to injuries.
