Angolan ambassador regrets general inspector s death

Namibia,  Windhoek – The Angolan ambassador to Namibia, Manuel Alexandre Duarte Rodrigues “Kito”, regretted on Thursday the death of the general inspector of the national defence, Rafael Sapilinha Sambalanga, who died on 7 August in Cuba, victim of disease.  “There are men that even with their death, the collective memory will never forget their deeds for the liberation of a people. It is the case of the great combatant of the motherland, general, Rafael Sapilinha Sambalanga, who died on 7 August in Cuba”, reads a press note from the embassy in Namibia. On account of the general inspector’s death, the ambassador acknowledgement of the deeds, determination and courage shown by General Rafael Sapilna Sambalanga during his life. “In this time of grief, on behalf of the Angolan embassy in Namibia I bend on my knee before the memory of the late general and I express my heart felt sympathy to the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) and mourning family”, reads the message. O general "Sambalanga" was born on 12 August in 1950 in Cameia district, eastern Moxico province. He joined MPLA on 24 June in 1966, at then third political and military region as warrior.
