Angola, Sao Tome to re-launch co-operation
Angola, Luanda - Angola's Foreign Affairs Minister, George Chicoty, said on Thursday in Luanda that Sao Tomean President’s visit, Manuel Pinto da Costa, will permit the development of bilateral co-operation between both countries.The head of the Angolan diplomacy said so to Angop at Luanda’s “4 de Fevereiro” International Airport, after the departure of the visiting President, following a 24-hour visit in Angola.“At the meeting between the two statesmen, Angolan and Sao Tomean Presidents debated the need for re-launching a win-win co-operation between both nations, aiming to increase more and more, once Angola is helping that brother country in the rehabilitation works of the local port”, he said.According to him, the co-operation will also cover other sectors, such as agriculture, and this why meetings will be held in coming times so as to enable a rapid conclusion of this matter.During his stay in the country, President Manuel Pinto da Costa was honoured with 17 de Setembro medal for his social conduct, defence of the partisan ideals and the more legitimate aims of the Angolan people.The act was chaired by MPLA's Vice-president, Roberto de Almeida.
