Angola in Olympic Games 20 years later

Angola , Luanda – The Angolan boxing guaranteed its participation in London 2012 Olympic Games 20 years later, after the selection of the national 24-year boxer Tumba Silva (+90kg), following a decision from the event’s organisation.The decision from the tripartite commission organising the event has an extraordinary character and is intended to complete the number of players in the competition, the secretary general of the Angolan Olympic Committee (COA), Angop has learnt.Angola competed for the first time in Moscow 1980 Olympic Games in Russia, with the athletes Alberto Mendes de Carvalho, Abílio Cabral and José Cabral.
