Angola at launching of agricultural research centre of SADC
Angola, Luanda – Angola will attend the launching and appointment ceremony of the Board of Directors for the Agricultural Research and Development Coordination Centre of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), set for 12-14 July, in Gaborone, Botswana. This was said to Angop on Tuesday by the Secretary of State for Agriculture, José Amaro Tati, before departing to Gaborone city in Botswana, where he will attend on 12-14 July the ordinary meeting of the Agriculture Ministers of SADC and officials in charge of the food security sector. The official said that the meeting is aimed at discussing issues related to the official launching of the Board of Directors institutionalisation of the referred institution that coordinates the research and also the theme on food security. According to him, the Angolan delegation will seize the opportunity to consolidate its proposals, expecting for the appointment of the national candidates and thus contribute to the definition of programmes and plans of the performance to be approved in this forum.
