Angola and US cooperation considered as positive

New York, New York - The US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Johnnie Carson, considered on Thursday as positive and stronger the cooperation ties between his country and Angola. Johnny Carson said so to Angop after a meeting with the Angolan Foreign Affairs Minister, Georges Chikoti, aimed at discussing the current state of strategic cooperation between both countries. The assessment was shared by Minister George Chikoti, who expressed his satisfaction at the spirit of openness and solidarity of his counterpart. However, George Chikoti announced an official visit will be paid soon to US soon, where he expects to develop real idea for the implementation of the intended partnership. Angola is the third strategic partner of US in Africa, after Ghana and South Africa.
