Ambassador meets with Angolan community in Ticino

Geneva, Geneva - The Angolan ambassador to the Helvetic Confederation, Osvaldo Varela, met Saturday with the country’s community based in the Canton Ticino to learn about their concerns.  The participants were informed on the political, economic and social situation in the country, with stress to the ongoing electoral process in Angola. Addressing the meeting, the Angolan diplomat to Switzerland reiterated the need for Angolans living abroad to raise their level of technical, professional and academic training. According to him, by so doing their chances of integration in the country and society would be easier. Over 200 Angolans live in that region of Switzerland.
