About 5000 families to get relocated following Futungo ward's restructuring process
Luanda, Luanda – About 5000 families will be relocated to new areas in view of the urban restructuring process of an area detached from Futungo de Belas ward, in Luanda, whose foundation stone was launched on Monday by President José Eduardo dos Santos.According to the director of the office for the management of the Futungo de Belas and Mussulo areas tourism development plan, Rodrigo de Sousa Alves Santos, the perimeters in which these families live represents 30 per cent of the total area for the project.The official also guaranteed that the authorities are also preparing other spaces for the re-housing of the families that will have to leave the mentioned area.The Futungo de Belas perimeter in question takes up an area of 537 hectares, and the urban restructuring plan for that area outlines the construction of social housing, commercial and services buildings, leisure centres, parking and green zones.
